Tributes pour in as teen attackers face investigation

Tributes have been pouring in for the “beloved” young man who died after being attacked by two teenagers in Ireland’s capital. Alex Coughlan was attacked by two boys in their mid-teens in Blanchardstown on Sunday afternoon. He was found unconscious on Mill Road and was pronounced dead in hospital on Wednesday. People have been paying tribute to him online, while also condemning the act of violence committed against him. “As someone who was also recently attacked by feral cowards – and managed to face them
down, I only wish I could have been there for you, pal. This is so unfair. Our legislators need to do more to keep decent people safe. I hope your family finds justice and peace,” one person wrote on Rip.ie.
