Alberta PG rating hints Spider-Man trailer could drop fast

A second trailer for “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” has been age-rated by Alberta’s government, clocking in at 2 minutes and 30 seconds. The listing doesn’t say when it will appear online, but other trailers rated the same day were released quickly.

The wait didn’t even finish for the first “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” trailer before the internet started bracing for another hit.

A new trailer—listed on the government website for Alberta, Canada as “Spider-Man Brand: New Day trailer 2”—has been given a PG rating on May 28. The entry puts the running time at 2 minutes and 30 seconds.

That length is close to the first trailer. which clocked in at 2 minutes 40 seconds. including 10 seconds of the title card and release information at the end. For fans, the similarity matters. It suggests this isn’t a throwaway clip—it’s the kind of full. watch-twice trailer drop that can reset the entire conversation online.

The Alberta listing still doesn’t confirm when the second trailer will surface. But there’s a clue in what else was rated the same day. Trailers for “Spa Weekend” and “Tracy & Martina: Goin’ Out West,” both rated on May 28, have already been released online. The pattern implies there could be a rush to get this “Brand New Day” clip out too.

Not every trailer moved as quickly, though. The third trailer for “End of Oak Street,” also rated on May 28, has not been released yet—so the timing for “trailer 2” remains a question mark.

Fans aren’t waiting in silence. The first “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” trailer took over the internet for one whole day, and it also arrived after the release of the first trailer on March 18, 2026—over two months ago now—meaning momentum for another official look has been building.

That original trailer set the emotional tone: Tom Holland’s Peter Parker returns. trying to navigate a world where no one seems to know who he really is. That includes his best friend Ned and his girlfriend MJ. The trailer also showed Peter throwing everything into crime-fighting, while his personal life looks bleak.

What the new trailer will tease isn’t confirmed. But the theories already have the air of people who’ve watched the first clip too many times to ignore patterns. After the Daredevil: Born Again season 2 finale ended with Matt Murdock in prison. fans are convinced Matt Murdock will show up in “Brand New Day.”.

They point to the first trailer’s imagery, including Spidey inside a multi-level prison, fighting an assassin ninja group called The Hand—who previously showed up in the Daredevil series. Fans can’t help asking whether that overlap is too close to be coincidence.

There are other signals viewers are trying to connect. The first trailer teased “organic webs,” and it’s a key difference from Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man. Holland’s version can’t shoot webs from his wrist; instead, he uses a device in his suit. With Parker going through so much change in his life. fans are also speculating whether his body could be affected in ways the next trailer might show.

They’re also hoping to see more of Bruce Banner, played by Mark Ruffalo, and the Punisher, played by Jon Bernthal. Another open mystery hanging over the countdown is who Sadie Sink—known from Stranger Things—is playing in “Spider-Man: Brand New Day.”

No one has those answers yet. But with Alberta’s PG rating already in place for a trailer listed as 2 minutes and 30 seconds long, the next question for fans is simple: how soon will the official release match the hype?

“Spider-Man: Brand New Day” arrives in theaters on July 31.

  1. Alberta rating site = basically confirms trailer dropping any minute, right? They always do that. Also 2:30 is like… short but not too short.

  2. Wait how do they know it’s gonna drop fast if the listing doesn’t say when?? People are acting like the Alberta govt is like a spoiler account. I swear the first trailer already dropped ages ago (March 18?) so it feels weird to hype trailer 2 now.

  3. So Canada’s like “Spider-Man trailer 2” and that means it’s coming next?? I don’t get it. Like why is this a thing, can’t Sony just post it. Also the other movies they rated same day already came out, but the one “End of Oak Street” didn’t… so maybe this one won’t either? My brain can’t keep up with the release timelines.
