living in New York,” they said. “He leaves behind his heartbroken and devoted family: his loving mother Vivienne and father Martin, his brother Michael, and his sisters Nicola and Linda. He will be deeply missed by his brothers-in-law Mark and Gareth, and was a much-loved uncle to his nephews Simon, Ronan, and Ethan, and his niece Lucy. “Alan will also be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his extended family, his aunts, uncles, and cousins and by a wide and loyal circle of friends both

going again in 2013 and helping lead the first Atlanta squad to San Diego 7’s in 2016. “Alan played a huge role in our 2018 National Championship victory, and many of us will always cherish the memories of playing alongside him and celebrating that achievement together. A true fighting force at full back, his passion, commitment, and character left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him. “On behalf of everyone at the club, we extend our deepest condolences to his family and loved ones
during this incredibly difficult time. May he rest in peace.” Alan’s family have said his funeral arrangements will be announced at a later date. Subscribe to our newsletter for the latest news from the Irish Mirror direct to your inbox: Sign up here.
