Aisling Roche has tied the knot with her long-term partner, Byron Callaghan, in a gorgeous Italian wedding. The Virgin Media news anchor looked absolutely stunning in a white gown as she posed next to her now-husband, who wore a sharp black suit to the ceremony. Byron popped the question to Aisling back in 2024 when the couple were holidaying on the Amalfi Coast, so it is only fitting that they returned with family for their big day. “What a day…. what a view……. but what
a stunning wife!!” Byron wrote on Instagram, sharing some lovely pictures from their wedding day. It wasn’t long before some lovely comments started to roll in, with one person writing: “Oh wow Aisling – you look ABSOLUTELY stunning. Huge congratulations to you both xx”. Another commented: “Many happy adventures to be enjoyed through a long fruitful married life. Delighted weather favoured yourselves. Terrific venue too”. Aisling, who is originally from Cork, will be a familiar face to many, appearing both on Virgin Media News and
as a presenter on Ireland AM, where she joins co-presenters Martin King and Eric Roberts. When she was in her twenties, Aisling also worked at one of Cork’s biggest radio stations, Cork’s 96FM and C103, as a news anchor. She then moved to Dublin to work for Newstalk and Today FM, and it was there that she met Byron, who now works for RTE, as the pair were working together.
