For viewers. the biggest implication is that Adolescence may return only if it can preserve what made the first run feel singular in the first place.. So it’s coming back or not? Netflix always teases stuff and then makes us wait forever.
I saw the headline about British politics or whatever and I’m like… so the show caused the violence? That seems like a stretch. Also 555 million hours is wild, guess people really binge anything.
If the creators are saying they can “pull it out in three or four years” doesn’t that basically mean never? Lol. And the way it says parents/teachers alerted about violence toward young women… I mean yeah scary topic, but I don’t get how a show turns into a political movement.
Netflix better not ruin it with some random sequel that doesn’t make sense. Like it’s a one-shot series right, so how do they stretch it? I kind of hate when shows “rewrite the streaming conversation” then act surprised when everyone wants more. Also Jack Thorne and Stephen Graham are big names so I’m guessing Season 2 will be more about power stuff than the actual plot?
