Whoopi Goldberg keeps taking herself off ‘The View’ hosts’ group chat
Whoopi Goldberg opened up that she “doesn’t care” what her fellow “The View” presenters are discussing over the weekends, when they’re not filming.

“The View” is rolling out the red carpet for its Season 30 guests.
The daytime talk show returns for its milestone 30th season on Sept. 8, with co-hosts Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Sunny Hostin, Sara Haines, Alyssa Farah Griffin and Ana Navarro resuming their spot at the Hot Topics table.
But the women won’t be alone, as an exciting lineup of guests are set to appear throughout Season 30. In the show’s first week back, U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz , Lizzo, Andrew Garfield, Sherri Shepherd and Maisie Williams are all slated to make an appearance.
Other guests paying a visit to “The View” in September include Ke Huy Quan, the cast of “East of Eden,” including Florence Pugh, Christopher Abbott, Mike Faist and executive producer Zoe Kazan, “American Horror Story” stars Jessica Lange, Sarah Paulson and Billie Lourd, and Ethan Hawke.
“Saturday Night Live” alum Kate McKinnon and country star Kenny Chesney are also expected to be guests on the long-running talk show.
“The View” has long invited political pundits to its broadcast. In addition to Sen. Cruz, Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear will also appear on the show for Season 30.
Other guests include journalists Deborah Roberts and Evan Gershkovich (the Wall Street Journal reporter who spent more than a year in a Russian prison) along with other notable guests like Colin Kaepernick, Neil deGrasse Tyson and Heidi Slotnik.
“Behind the Table,” the talk show’s podcast series, also begins releasing episodes on Sept. 8, with “The Weekend View,” the streamed weekend series, dropping on Sept. 12.
“The View” wrapped its 29th season in July 2026, with the final episodes featuring discussions with “Pretty in Pink” star Molly Ringwald and the cast of Broadway musical “The Lost Boys.” During their weeks-long hiatus, Navarro enjoyed vacationing with loved ones, while Goldberg shared clips of her attending art shows across Europe.
The show is currently up for four Daytime Emmy awards, including best daytime talk series and best daytime talk series host.
Season 30 of “The View” premieres Tuesday, Sept. 8 at 11 a.m. ET on ABC. Episodes can be streamed the next day on Disney+ and Hulu.
