Sapient Insights opens 29th HR survey as AI rises

As AI, workforce planning, and digital transformation continue to reshape the workplace, HR leaders have an opportunity to influence one of the industry’s most comprehensive sources of HR technology intelligence. Sapient Insights Group has opened participation for its 29th Annual HR Systems Survey, inviting HR practitioners, technology leaders, and professionals involved in HR systems and practices to share their experiences, priorities, and perspectives on the evolving HR technology landscape. The survey will remain open until 24 June 2026. Now entering its 29th year, the survey
has established itself as one of the longest-running and largest independent studies of HR technology adoption, strategy, and outcomes. Sapient Insights describes the research as a vendor-neutral, “voice of the customer” initiative that captures real-world experiences from organisations worldwide. Previous editions have attracted participation from thousands of organisations across dozens of countries and have become a widely referenced resource for HR technology decision-making. The latest edition arrives at a time when organisations are accelerating investments in AI-enabled technologies. Recent findings from Sapient Insights showed growing
adoption of AI across HR functions, with organisations increasingly exploring applications ranging from recruitment and workforce planning to analytics and employee experience. This year’s survey includes expanded questions on AI and machine learning, alongside topics such as HR strategy, technology adoption, workforce planning, governance, budgeting, implementation practices, change management, and emerging workplace technologies. A new section focusing on finance, travel expense reporting, and financial planning has also been introduced. Participation offers more than an opportunity to contribute to industry research. Respondents will receive a complimentary
copy of the forthcoming 2026-2027 Annual HR Systems Survey Report, a publication valued at US$1,800 and spanning more than 350 pages of analysis. Participants can also access an immediate benchmarking snapshot tailored by industry or region, receive a copy of their responses for future reference, and earn up to 11 IHRIM Professional Development Units. The survey is designed to be flexible, allowing respondents to answer sections most relevant to their expertise and collaborate with colleagues where necessary. Completion time ranges from approximately 20 to 60
minutes, depending on the number of sections completed. For HR leaders navigating increasingly complex technology decisions, participation offers a chance not only to benchmark their own organisations but also to help shape a research resource that informs HR technology investments, implementation strategies, and workforce transformation initiatives across the globe. The results of the survey are expected to debut at the HR Technology Conference in October 2026. To participate in the 29th Annual HR Systems Survey, click here.
