Your Fault’s Asha Banks Tells Step-Sex Filming Reality

Asha Banks and Matthew Broome opened up at Prime Video’s Obsessed Fest about what it feels like to film an intimate step-sibling scene—and how a song from Addison Rae’s new album wound up shaping their moves in Your Fault: London.
When Asha Banks and Matthew Broome sat down to talk about Your Fault: London at Prime Video’s Obsessed Fest. the conversation turned less to fantasy—and more to the awkward reality of performing it. On Saturday. June 27. the actors recalled how filming an intimate step-sibling moment can feel downright strange. even with the script in place.
Broome, 25, described the experience with a vivid image: “You’re there with an actor in silence. In a room full of people with feet shuffling and squeaking costumes.” He added that he found himself moving to “a nonexistent beat,” and summed it up with a blunt punchline: “It’s so uncomfortable.”
Banks, 22, brought her own memory from the set. During production. she and Broome ended up playing Addison Rae’s new album “on repeat.” Their favorite track. “Fame Is a Gun. ” stuck. Banks said their music choice directly fed into the scene that ultimately made it into the film. “We ended up playing it while filming the sexy scene,” she recalled. “We are such big theater kids so [we choreographed our moves to the beat]. Then they managed to try to get it in the movie.”.
Your Fault: London is built on Mercedes Ron’s novel Culpa Mía. and it continues Noah’s story as she moves to a new place after her mother’s new marriage. In the first film, Noah is 17, and she clashes with her stepbrother, Nick (Broome). That disdain doesn’t last. The relationship grows into romance, and—according to the franchise—spans three movies in total.
The live remarks also touched the moment where the story turns audiences loose. Banks joked that when they read the ending of Your Fault: London, the reaction felt inevitable. “We read it and we were like. ‘Oh. damn. Twitter is about to go crazy. ‘” she said at the event. “But I think that was part of the excitement.”.
She’s especially eager to see how the third film addresses what happens to Nick after his arrest. “We were so invested in our own characters and we spent so much time making sense of their decisions and being on their team and being on their side. ” Banks said. “We were debating about it constantly. But we are very excited to see the reaction and the chaos that it caused.”.
The franchise itself has already crossed languages. Prime Video originally released a Spanish-language version in 2023, starring Nicole Wallace and Gabriel Guevara. Banks and Broome took over for the English-language remake, with My Fault and Your Fault now streaming on Prime Video. Our Fault: London is scheduled to be released soon.
One thread connects the set stories to the bigger fan frenzy: even when intimate scenes are performed under bright lights and crowded rooms, the work still lands on viewers as something intense—and the actors know the fallout is coming.
