Yeat appears to have responded to the controversy surrounding his removed verse on Young Thug and YSL’s “Eaters,” taking direct aim at Travis Scott on his surprise new song “ON NOTHING.” Released Friday, September 4, the song features several pointed lines that fans are interpreting as a response to the fallout.
The timing is hard to ignore. Yeat’s verse on “Eaters,” one of the 41 tracks on Young Thug’s Slime Language 3, was removed from the streaming version just days after the compilation arrived, leaving Travis Scott and Future as the song’s outside guests alongside YSL’s Tezzus.

According to a report from Kurrco, an artist featured on the record allegedly gave Young Thug an ultimatum: remove their verse or remove Yeat’s. Nobody involved has publicly confirmed who issued the demand, but Travis has become the central focus of fan speculation. Yeat appeared to acknowledge the situation on Instagram after the reports surfaced, posting a laughing emoji rather than addressing the alleged conflict directly.
Now, “ON NOTHING” appears to take the situation into a different territory. On the track, Yeat delivers lines that listeners have interpreted as shots at Travis, including a reference to “Flame,” Travis’ longtime nickname and stage identity.
“Put out that Flame, It’s f*ckin lame, uh, going out sad”
The rapper follows that with an even more pointed accusation:
“What more can I say? You do what they tell you to say. You a motherf*cking puppet.”
Later, Yeat reinforces the confrontational tone with another declaration:
“I’m always on they heads, on they minds, f*ck it”
The lyrics do not explicitly name Travis Scott, but the “Flame” reference has made the intended target appear clear to fans following the “Eaters” controversy.
The circumstances surrounding “Eaters” have added another layer to the story. Yeat’s contribution was present in the original version of the song before disappearing from streaming platforms, while Travis and Future remained credited. The track itself had been highly anticipated after Young Thug previewed an early version during an Instagram Live in May 2025.
Yeat has also experienced another high-profile removal connected to Travis’ circle. His appearance on Sheck Wes’ “Trip Out,” released on the deluxe edition of JACKBOYS 2, was subsequently removed, further fueling speculation about tensions between the rapper and members of Travis’ orbit.
