Yarrow Days returns June 5-7 with homecoming theme

Click your heels together and get whisked away to one of Chilliwack’s most popular small-town community events. The theme for this year’s Yarrow Days is ‘There’s No Place Like Home’ and it runs from June 5 to June 7. The festivities start Friday evening (June 5) with the Yarrow Farm Market where there will be Yarrow Days apparel and memorabilia for sale alongside various other vendors. It’s at Pioneer Park (4390 Kehler St.) from 5 p.m. to dusk. While the market is happening, the annual

fun run will get underway at 6 p.m. There’s a two-kilometre walk or a five-kilometre run. It leaves Yarrow Community Centre (4670 Community St.) at 6:15 p.m. and ends at the north end of Kehler Street. People can start Saturday (June 6) off with a classic car show and pancake breakfast before lining up to see the big parade. The Show and Shine is at Yarrow United Mennonite Church (4336 Eckert Rd.) from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. while the free pancake breakfast will be

at the Canadian Reformed Church (42285 Yarrow Central Rd.) from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Donations will be accepted for local charitable causes at the breakfast. The parade will get underway at 10 a.m., leaving Yarrow Community School and heading down Yarrow Central Road. A road closure will be in effect. Open houses after the parade include one at the fire hall until 2:30 p.m., and another at Hazelnut Inn until 4 p.m. The Yarrow Days opening ceremony is at 11 a.m. at Yarrow Pioneer

Park where O Canada will be sung by Ryan and Olivia Keeping. Live entertainment runs through the afternoon in the park and includes local musicians, bhangra dancing, a magic show and a taekwondo demonstration. There will also be craft booths, kids’ games, a barbecue concession, picnic games, food trucks and more at the park. Heading into the evening, adults can swing over to the Yarrow Days Dance featuring The Lounge Hounds at Yarrow Community Centre from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. This is a ticketed,

19+ event. Tickets $35 and available on eventbrite.ca (search “Yarrow Days”). On Sunday (June 7), the churches in Yarrow are collaboratively hosting a brunch from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Yarrow Community Centre. And to wrap up the celebrations, a community church service will be held rain or shine at Yarrow Pioneer Park. Everyone is welcome. The emcee for the 2026 Yarrow Days is Grant Sigaty. 1. There’s No Place Like Home… cool but why does it feel like it’s just gonna be a bunch of vendors and noise?

  2. So is the parade June 7 or June 6? I saw “10 a.m.” and then Sunday brunch stuff so my brain is mixing it up. Road closures are always the worst though.

  3. Wait, the 19+ dance is $35 and starts at 6 but tickets on Eventbrite right? I swear I read somewhere else it was free, maybe for locals? Also “O Canada by Ryan and Olivia Keeping” sounds like a couple celebrity kids??
