Now that performance is getting its own studio afterlife. Xiu Xiu has announced Eraserhead Xiu Xiu, out July 10 via Polyvinyl. Along with the release news, the band shared their chilling rendition of the movie’s “In Heaven,” originally written by Peter Ivers, with lyrics by Lynch.
The set returns in a different form this fall: Xiu Xiu has a string of dates lined up where they’ll play their Eraserhead set. The headline made it sound like they’re releasing a whole movie or something on July 10. Then I guess it’s just music? Either way, Lynch + Xiu Xiu sounds like a bad idea to listen to before bed.
