WWE AAA Verano de Escandalo results, live discussion: Los Gringos Locos 2.0 vs. Perros del Mal
AAA is heading in hot to Aguascalientes for Verano de Escandalo on Saturday night (July 25, 2026). The live main event is shrouded in drama as Los Gringo Locos 2.0 reunite to face Los Perros del Mal. One big question is whether Dominik Mysterio can be trusted as the partner to El Grande Americano. The other question is who will be Daga’s chosen teammate for the match. Angel, Berto, and Bronco Nima are the options we know. Could there be another member of the Perros on tap?
Verano de Escandalo will be taped on Saturday night and air over three episodes. Advertised for the live edition is the aforementioned main event, Lola Vice & Mr. Iguana defending the AAA mixed tag titles against La Hiedra & Laredo Kid, and more announcements from general manger Rey Mysterio. The other matches will air in the following weeks.

WWE AAA VERANO DE ESCANDALO RESULTS FOR JULY 25
Rey Mysterio had good news. He was interrupted by Dorian Roldan and Omos. Dorian blamed Rey for the injury to Hijo del Vikingo and also for taking the Latin American Championship from Omos. Dorian threatened Rey to give the title back to Omos or else something bad will happen. Rey explained that he’s faced giants his whole career. This isn’t the first and it won’t be the last time someone threatens him. Rey’s answer is no. Dorian told him that there will be consequences. Omos stepped to Rey. Dorian stopped Omos from getting physical.
El Grande Americano wanted to make know if he can trust Dominik Mysterio. EGA asked if Dom is with him or with the Perros del Mal. Dominik downplayed that idea. He claimed that they are in this together to have the biggest match in AAA history at Triplemania. EGA and Dom are on the same page. As Dom walked away, Damian 666 (OG Perros member) walked up behind EGA to say that few are chosen.
AAA World Mixed Tag Team Championship: La Hiedra & Laredo Kid defeated Lola Vice & Mr. Iguana (c) to win the titles. The action was feisty between the women. The men exchanged near falls on a crucifix driver from Iguana and a 450 splash from Laredo. Back to the women. Vice connected on a head kick to Hiedra. Laredo pulled Vice off the pin. Iguana tossed Laredo outside and launched for a slingshot rana. Laredo got the upper hand to smash Iguana into the ring steps. Vice scored a roll-up. Hiedra kicked out to send Vice to the ropes. Vice hit a backfist to Laredo on the apron. Hiedra grabbed Vice from behind for a double chickenwing facebuster to win. New champions!
Rey Mysterio media scrum. The good news from earlier is that Rey’s mission as general manager is to bring exposure of lucha libre to the world. He wants to create more opportunities for luchadores to become global superstars. Rey’s phone buzzed. He received message that Penta will be on the next live show. The tease was that this comes after Penta saw the Perros del Mal in AAA. Rey continued his promotional ideas. Laredo Kid had a match at Madison Square Garden. Mr. Iguana shared the stage with CM Punk at Comic-Con to reveal action figures. This is only the start.
Los Perros del Mal defeated Dominik Mysterio & El Grande Americano. Daga’s partner was Angel Garza. There was a good chunk of wrestling action with Dom and EGA working well as a team building trust. It felt like they really were on the same page. Then, shenanigans erupted. There was a ref bump when EGA sent Angel crashing into the referee. EGA nailed Angel with a diving headbutt, but no ref to count the pin. Berto and Bronco Nima ran down to pummel Dom. Bravo and Rayo ran in with kendo sticks to attack those Perros. Bravo climbed the production post 20 feet up in the air for a flying crossbody down onto the pile. EGA executed an Air Raid Crash on Angel for the dramatic pin. Kick out by Angel. Karmen Petrovic sauntered to the ring. Nima pumped up for a double chokeslam to Bravo and Rayo onto the commentary table. EGA hit Nima with a suicide dive and a running headbutt. Angel took control for a pop-up knee and a powerbomb to the hero. EGA kicked out both times. Tag to Daga for a teamwork dropkick German suplex. Kick out again by EGA. El Grande Americano fired up on Daga. Dom was back on the apron. EGA desperately needed the hot tag. Dirty Dom short-armed him. Dom backed away to leave EGA all alone. Los Perros pummeled EGA. Daga pinned him on a flying stomp for the win. Dominik stood on stage, and it was revealed that he is now aligned with Omos and Dorian Roldan to watch his back from Los Perros.
