Prince William and Princess Catherine didn’t just attend Trooping the Colour 2026—they brought their whole family into the spotlight.
On Saturday afternoon, June 13, in London, England, the Prince and Princess of Wales appeared at the annual military parade with their three children: Prince George, 12, Princess Charlotte, 11, and Prince Louis, 8.
During the parade, William, 43, rode on horseback alongside fellow military officials, while Kate, 44, sat in a horse-drawn carriage with their three kids. After the procession, the family stood together on the balcony at Buckingham Palace for the celebratory fly-past.
Also on the balcony were King Charles and Queen Camilla, along with King Charles’s sister Princess Anne—who was with her husband, Vice Admiral Sir Timothy Laurence. Prince Edward was also there with his wife, Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh.
Trooping the Colour is held each year to mark the official birthday of the British Sovereign, even though King Charles’s actual birthday is November 14.
For George, Charlotte, and Louis, this marked a return to public view. The event was the first public appearance the three children have made since Easter in April.
Earlier, William shared an update on Kate’s cancer recovery in a recent interview. Kate was also seen wearing a Catherine Walker dress and a Philip Treacy hat during the day’s appearances.
The day concluded with the kind of familiar pageantry the parade is known for—military tradition, a Buckingham Palace balcony moment, and, this year, the Wales children fully in frame once again.

Kate looks good, but I still don’t get why we all care about horse parades lol.
Wait so William rode a horse AND the kids were with her in the carriage?? That’s kinda crazy dangerous if you think about it. Also the article says it’s to mark the king’s birthday in June which is wild because November is the real one right?
Maybe I’m missing something but doesn’t Trooping the Colour mean like… they’re literally trooping the color like flags? I swear every year it gets explained differently. George/Charlotte/Louis being back “since Easter” feels like a PR thing more than anything, but hey if it’s good for Kate’s recovery then fine.
The fly-past on the balcony is always the part I can’t handle, it’s like they’re trying to make it seem normal for the kids. And William giving an update on Kate’s cancer recovery… I mean, I hope she’s okay, but why is the whole monarchy doing this at the same time like it’s a show? Louis in particular looked older to me idk, maybe it’s the hat??
