The punishment for Diddy getting into a nasty prison brawl? No punishment at all! His release date isn’t being pushed back — it’s actually being moved UP!

Last week, TMZ broke the news that the disgraced rapper got into a bout of fisticuffs at the FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey after a fellow inmate allegedly criticized him. At the time, the outlet reported Diddy got thrown into solitary confinement over the aggressive outburst, but it wasn’t made clear for how long.

What followers of the Diddy saga quickly began wondering, though, was how the brawl would impact his release date, which has been moved up multiple times now to February 23, 2028. His early release was entirely predicated on receiving credit for good behavior, so surely getting into a fist fight would undo some of that, pushing back his departure, right? WRONG.

On Wednesday, TMZ reported Diddy’s release date has actually been moved UP once again. According to the Federal Bureau of Prisons website, the 56-year-old is now scheduled to spring the pen on January 24, 2028 — a whole MONTH earlier than previously expected! Whoa!

As of now, it’s unclear why the change was made, but we’re sure it’s a welcome one for the incarcerated rapper.
