Boston’s red-hot offense will capitalize against Davis Martin, who is consistently allowing hard contact lately, per our MLB expert.

The revamped Boston Red Sox head into their first game since the trade deadline as a -131 moneyline favorite against the Chicago White Sox tonight.

With Davis Martin struggling lately, my White Sox vs. Red Sox predictions are eyeing Boston to stay hot and grab their sixth straight victory.

Who will win White Sox vs Red Sox today: Red Sox moneyline (-131)

It’s been a rough month for Chicago White Sox starter Davis Martin. Across his last four starts, the right-hander owns a 5.22 xERA.

While he hasn’t allowed a lot of homers during that span, opponents are consistently squaring him up. Martin has surrendered a 43.3% hard-hit rate.

That’s a concern against one of the hottest lineups in baseball. The Boston Red Sox own a 121 wRC+ over their previous six games.

Patrick Sandoval, meanwhile, takes the hill for Boston. He has made just four appearances this season — all last month — posting a respectable 4.15 FIP while holding opponents to a 35.6% hard-hit rate.

Boston has the cleaner offensive profile and the more stable run-prevention setup.

I’ll play this pick to -140.

White Sox vs Red Sox Over/Under pick: Under 8.5 (+109)

The Red Sox may be hot offensively, but this contest still profiles as lower-scoring because of the bullpen setup.

Boston’s relief corps is dealing, posting a 2.22 FIP over its last 19 1/3 frames, while the White Sox have struggled to generate consistent offense.

Chicago’s bullpen has also been lights-out. It owns a 3.06 FIP over the last week while giving up just 0.32 HR/9. Boston has a clear opportunity to score early off Martin, but runs could be harder to find once the bullpen enters.

Even with some recent power flashes from both lineups, the relievers have consistently limited homers. The value is in the Under.

I’ll play this pick down to +100.

The weather looks excellent at Fenway Park tonight, with mostly clear skies and temperatures falling from the low 80s into the mid-70s. Winds should stay light around 4-5 mph, and there is no rain concern. Conditions should have minimal impact, though the warm early air could slightly help carry.
