A new analysis described May 2026 as a record month: Trump—or whoever had control of his account at the time—shared 861 posts and reposts. That totals an average of 27 posts a day, more than one per hour.
The content, as characterized in the analysis, ranged across familiar territory for Trump’s social media presence. His posts promoted actions from his administration, attacked political opponents, and condemned former Presidents Barack Obama and Joe Biden. The stream also included inflammatory memes, along with reposts of AI-generated images and videos.
When asked about the surge. White House spokesperson Olivia Wales said the reason for the record number of posts in May was rooted in the moment around the platform itself. She told the outlet that Truth Social “has never been hotter. ” pointing to heightened attention on the platform’s finances in recent weeks.
Wales also tied the activity level to Trump’s style of direct communication. She said it was “because President Trump offers his unfiltered and direct thoughts to the American people, without the biased media taking him out of context.”
She added that the president’s posting represented a kind of real-time openness. “The American people have never had a president as transparent as President Trump. who shares his thoughts with them in real time on all the important issues of the day. ” Wales said. “President Trump is a one-of-a-kind leader who has his finger on the pulse of the people better than any of his predecessors.”.
