Which Hilton Hotels Offer Free Breakfast?

Hilton breakfast benefits are split across brands and Hilton Honors status levels, with some properties offering free breakfast to everyone and others providing only select continental breakfast or a daily food-and-beverage credit. Here’s exactly which Hilton

The first morning after you check in can make or break a trip—especially when “breakfast included” turns out to mean very different things at different Hilton properties.

Hilton’s lineup is broad enough that the phrase can feel misleading. Some brands offer breakfast to every guest automatically. Others reserve it for certain Hilton Honors elite members, and even then what you get may vary by region—and by whether your stay includes executive lounge access.

That confusion matters because breakfast isn’t a small line item. If you’re traveling with family or friends, choosing a hotel that truly includes breakfast for everyone can quickly translate into real savings before you even leave the lobby.

Hilton brands where breakfast is free for all guests

Hilton Honors brands that offer complimentary breakfast to all guests—regardless of how you booked or your elite status—include:

AutoCamp (complimentary morning granola, coffee, tea and hot chocolate at the Clubhouse; don’t expect a full breakfast)
Embassy Suites by Hilton
Hampton by Hilton
Homewood Suites by Hilton
Home2 Suites by Hilton
LivSmart Studios by Hilton
Spark by Hilton (only at North American hotels)
Tru by Hilton

Even with this list, the simple rule remains: confirm before booking. Hilton says travelers can check a hotel’s official website, then scroll to the amenities section to see whether the property offers free breakfast for all guests. One example cited is a Hampton by Hilton in New York City.

If complimentary breakfast for all guests is non-negotiable, the Hilton website also allows searches filtered to properties that offer free breakfast.

Hilton Honors elite breakfast benefits aren’t one-size-fits-all

For Hilton Honors Gold, Diamond, and Diamond Reserve members, breakfast benefits fall under Hilton’s “MyWay” program. Under those rules, you and up to one additional guest registered to your room may be eligible for specific benefits.

Daily food-and-beverage credit: At select brands in the U.S. and at Motto by Hilton globally; not provided if you have complimentary lounge access and breakfast is provided in the lounge. Complimentary continental breakfast: At select brands outside the U.S. and Small Luxury Hotels of the World properties globally.

Hilton also notes that to receive these elite benefits—along with the MyWay options—you must book directly with Hilton or through a qualifying global distribution service. The typical exception is that most credit card travel portals aren’t eligible. though American Express Fine Hotels + Resorts and The Edit by Chase Travel℠ bookings should be eligible.

Complimentary continental breakfast for elite members

Hilton Gold, Diamond, and Diamond Reserve members can receive complimentary continental breakfast as a MyWay benefit for stays at these brands (with the condition that these are outside the U.S., unless the brand specifically notes a global carve-out):

Canopy by Hilton (only at properties outside the U.S.)
Conrad Hotels & Resorts (only at properties outside the U.S.)
Curio Collection by Hilton (only at properties outside the U.S.)
DoubleTree by Hilton (only at properties outside the U.S.)
Hilton Garden Inn (only at properties outside the U.S.; must be selected online instead of bonus points)

For elite members, Hilton also provides a daily food-and-beverage credit at specific brands. The amount depends on the brand and location:

$25 per person. per night: Conrad Hotels & Resorts (within the U.S.). LXR Hotels & Resorts (within the U.S.). NoMad (within the U.S.) and Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts (within the U.S.) $15 per person. per night ($18 per person. per night in Boston; Chicago; Washington. D.C.; New York City; San Francisco; Key Largo and Key West. Florida; the city of Los Angeles; and the state of Hawaii): Canopy by Hilton (within the U.S.). Curio

Tapestry Collection by Hilton (within the U.S.) and Tempo by Hilton (within the U.S.) $10 per person. per night: Hilton Garden Inn (within the U.S.; you must designate this as your MyWay benefit online) Varies by property: Motto by Hilton.

These credits apply to Gold, Diamond, and Diamond Reserve members and up to one additional guest registered to the same room. But there’s an important trade-off: if you have complimentary lounge access and breakfast is provided in the lounge, you won’t receive the food-and-beverage credit.

How lounge access can change your morning

Executive lounge access is part of Hilton’s elite perk structure too. Hilton says Hilton Diamond and Hilton Diamond Reserve members, and up to one additional guest staying in the same room, get executive lounge access at properties with executive lounges.

Hilton Honors Gold members can also qualify for lounge access if they secure an upgrade to a room on the executive floor or room type that confers executive lounge access benefits, again along with up to one additional guest staying in the same room.

Diamond Reserve members also get access to premium club lounges (with a separate list of participating lounges), along with up to one registered guest. However, this access excludes the enclave category rooms at all-inclusive resorts.

If you have lounge access, Hilton says you may get breakfast in the lounge. But the rule for credits still holds: if you have complimentary access to a lounge that offers breakfast, you won’t receive the food-and-beverage credit during stays in the U.S.

The bottom line on breakfast at Hilton

Some Hilton properties include breakfast for all guests, and Hilton’s site can be filtered to show hotels that offer free breakfast.

For travelers with Hilton Honors Gold. Diamond. or Diamond Reserve status. Hilton notes that you’ll usually get complimentary continental breakfast at hotels abroad and a daily food-and-beverage credit at hotels within the U.S. It also points out that the food-and-beverage credit at many U.S. properties and international Motto by Hilton hotels often isn’t enough to cover breakfast. though it may suit travelers who prefer to eat later and use the credit for drinks or food.

In the original breakdown. there’s an expressed preference for choice: if a credit is meant to provide flexibility. the program should allow members to choose between a continental breakfast and a food-and-beverage credit when checking in to each stay. The reporter’s own experience is described as a reason for avoiding Hilton in certain situations—if breakfast is replaced with a food-and-beverage credit—while also praising breakfasts and full buffet access at Hilton properties outside the U.S.

Whether you’re booking for a quick weekend or a longer escape, the takeaway is simple: “breakfast included” at Hilton can mean different mornings, depending on the brand, the country, your status, and whether the lounge is part of your plan.
