Westbrook eases renters into Kelowna’s lifestyle

Laid-back living close to urban amenities at Westbrook West Kelowna’s rental secret Living in West Kelowna feels “too far” away for a lot of locals who enjoy Kelowna’s culture and job opportunities, especially because the decent rentals aren’t anywhere near the bridge…or are they? Westbrook is a new rental community, sitting just off Westside Road, beside the W.R. Bennett Bridge between West Kelowna and Kelowna. Nestled near the shores of Okanagan Lake, it’s the perfect home base for people who want easy access to both

Kelowna’s urban amenities and West Kelowna’s laid-back lifestyle. James Bulford, Westbrook’s new leasing agent, talks about the people, events and details behind Westbrook. The people running the place Bulford says it’s a chance to learn how the building feels, what amenities are available and what kind of support residents can expect after they move-in. “There is an incredible team at Westbrook that helps to bring the community to life. Kerry, the community leader, is supported by Luke, Abbott and Joseph, the team of assistant community

leaders, who help run the day-to-day operations and bring the community to life with events and keep the community running smoothly,” explains Bulford. “I am available in the leasing office to meet anyone interested in coming to learn about what Westbrook has to offer.” Westbrook has new extended touring hours and an on-site leasing office in the show suite. Bulford is there from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesdays and Thursdays, and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Fridays through Sundays. Drop-ins are welcome. What’s

happening this summer? Bulford says there is plenty going on at Westbrook this summer—events, programming and community moments that residents can look forward to. “It’s gonna be a great summer. The team hosts a happy hour every Friday, a pickleball club has been started by community members and there is even a reading club. Summer programming is underway at Westbrook “For happy hours, each month the team aims to do a special one, so hopefully either a cocktail-making night or a paint night,” explains Bulford.

“It’s been incredible to see amenity spaces that actually get used by the team and community members. There was even a wedding hosted on site here.” What does Westbrook have to offer? Westbrook is an energy-efficient complex that offers studios, one-, two- and three-bedroom suites. Everyone who comes for a tour is impressed by the amenities—a community lounge, fitness centre, pickleball court, BBQ area, fire pit, dog run, community garden, walking path, EV charging, bike storage and a bike repair station. The location tucks residents

into a gorgeous spot between Okanagan Lake, Highway 97 and Westside Road. While a single-family home in the area easily tops $1-million due to the location, you can rent at Westbrook (including amenities) for as little as $1,449* per month. “I am on site and ready to show you around the community,” says Bulford. “I can help guide you through suite selection, the application and leasing process.” How to learn more The extended touring hours on Wednesday and Thursday evenings, and the weekend drop-in availability,

make it easier than at most communities to see Westbrook without rearranging your week. Bulford is on-site in the show suite on Wednesdays, Thursdays and on weekends and he’s ready to show you around. 1. Happy hour Fridays and pickleball? That’s gonna fix the housing situation? Not sure I’m buying it. Also what are the prices though, because “rental secret” sounds like a marketing line.

  2. Wait this Westbrook place is beside the Bennett Bridge right? I thought Kelowna was like super far from anywhere. If it’s close to the lake maybe it’s actually not that bad for people commuting to jobs.

  3. Extended touring hours and a show suite… so basically move-in sales pitch with “community leaders” 😂. I’m not trying to live in a place that feels like an event schedule. If they say it’s close to amenities, does that mean grocery stores are walking distance or are we just supposed to pretend? Also “Kelowna’s culture” sounds kinda vague.
