Weekend streaming: New picks on Netflix and more

must-watch streaming – From Morgan Neville’s Lorne on Peacock to Harlan Coben’s I Will Find You on Netflix, here are five must-watch movies and TV shows streaming right now.
It’s the kind of weekend where you pick something and then, somehow, don’t look up for hours. This week’s must-watch list leans into that feeling: a buzzy documentary, a Pixar classic, and crime and horror shows built to keep you checking “just one more episode.”
“Lorne” (2026)
If you haven’t had enough behind-the-scenes SNL chatter ahead of the show’s 50th anniversary. Morgan Neville’s new documentary is the easy on-ramp. The film moves at a friendly pace—less probing than you might want. but still fun to hear major voices. including Bill Hader. John Mulaney. and Andy Samberg. trading anecdotes about the man who has run “Saturday Night Live” since day one.
How to watch: “Lorne” is streaming on Peacock.
“WALL-E” (2008)
This weekend is a good excuse to revisit Andrew Stanton’s “WALL-E. ” especially with his “Toy Story 5” now in theaters. Mostly wordless and quietly devastating in the best way. the movie follows a garbage-compacting robot that both scolds humanity’s excess and—somehow—still manages to validate the tenacity of the human spirit. It’s also home to what the list calls one of the most touching love stories ever put on screen. In short: it’s a masterpiece.

Other new movies streaming
“How to Make a Killing” is streaming on HBO Max. “Never Change!” is streaming on Hulu. “Voicemails For Isabelle” is streaming on Netflix. “Your Fault: London” is streaming on Prime Video.
“I Will Find You”
On the TV side. the crime miniseries from Harlan Coben brings some of that addictive mystery momentum—without trying to reinvent the wheel. It earns extra attention for being set in Boston, and for Britt Lower’s performance as Rachel Mills. Lower plays a former Boston Globe reporter. and the series pulls her into a brutal case tied to her onetime brother-in-law. David Burroughs. played by Sam Worthington.
David Burroughs is serving a life sentence for a murder of his son—a crime he says he didn’t commit.

“Sugar” Season 2
The promotional materials for the second season of this Apple TV crime drama don’t spell out the big twist from Season 1. and the list keeps it that way—no twist reveals here. But it does lay out what John Sugar is chasing. Colin Farrell stars as a Los Angeles private eye who. true to classic noir detective tradition. spends just as much time watching how people behave as he does tracking down bad guys.
In Season 2, Sugar is looking for another missing person—this time linked to a boxer in Koreatown. The more he observes, the more questions arise.

“Widow’s Bay”
This horror-comedy show has already made the rounds before, and with its finale recently airing—and Apple TV renewing it for a second season—it’s being called back up again.
Matthew Rhys plays a mayor who ignores warning signs about Widow’s Bay. a cursed island where the show treats danger like it’s just another town problem. The list notes that it’s filmed in Massachusetts towns like Gloucester and Rockport. but set in a fictional Maine island town. Rhys’s mayor is compared to the one from “Jaws. ” and the humor lands through the colorful townsfolk and government bureaucrats who’ve learned to live with their occult surroundings. The show’s series creator. Katie Dippold. is also noted as having served as a writer on the NBC sitcom “Parks and Recreation. ” which helps explain the tone.
