WARDOGS Is Coming To Xbox In 2028, And Is Available Today With Steam Early Access

WARDOGS is launching into Steam Early Access today, and the developer has announced plans to bring its tactical 100-player FPS action to Xbox and PlayStation sometime in 2028.
The game has been doing numbers on YouTube lately, with creators hyping up the game during closed beta tests ahead of today’s Early Access launch at 5pm BST / 4pm UTC. If you’ve not heard of the game, WARDOGS describes itself as an ambitious 100-player tactical FPS that feels like the good old days, letting you “play like you used to”.
WARDOGS aims to bring that feeling back through 100-player battles between three rival teams, combining tactical gunplay, vehicles, construction and destruction across three maps, each with three variations. Battles can shift from coordinated pushes to complete chaos in seconds, while local voice chat across all three teams brings allies and enemies into the same conversations, creating the unpredictable moments already driving thousands of clips, streams and videos from the community.
I’ve had my eye on this one for a while now. One of my YouTube go-tos, JackFrags, has been playing it a lot, and the money economy system that encourages team play is something I’m totally into. If you enjoy your military simulation games, then you’re probably going to like the look of this one.
Wishlists are live on the Xbox Store now if you fancy giving WARDOGS a go when it launches on Xbox in 2028. For now, we’ll leave you with an official description and closer look at some stills from the game.
WARDOGS is a TACTICAL ALL OUT WARFARE FPS where one hundred players split across three teams fight over the control zone. Set in the derelict industrial mountains of Eastern Europe on a destructible battlefield where teamwork pays and cash is king.
