Volunteer shifts open for bingos, Scouts treasurer roles

Volunteer and Information HPE is seeking volunteers for bingos in the afternoons between 12:50-4:30 p.m. and evenings 5:45-9:45 p.m. Volunteers support calling back bingos, assisting with delivering payouts to winners, and tidying up afterward. Volunteers must be 18 years or older. The Stirling Musical Instrument Lending Library (Stirling MILL) is seeking a volunteer Treasurer to support the organization’s financial operations and serve as an Officer of the corporation. The Treasurer works closely with the Board to manage financial records, reporting, banking, tax filings, and monthly
financial statements while helping ensure the organization meets its fiduciary responsibilities. The role requires approximately 10–15 hours per month for financial duties, plus one–two hours per month to attend board meetings. Scouts Canada 1st Bay of Quinte Group is seeking volunteer Beaver Section Scouters. Volunteers with Scouts Canada help create fun, engaging experiences for youth through games, outdoor adventures, and mentorship while fostering confidence, leadership, and teamwork skills. Volunteers work as part of a supportive team to provide a safe and inclusive environment, with free
training provided through Scouts Canada. The role typically involves two–three hours per week, plus occasional weekend events or camps.

So like… bingos from 12:50 to 4:30? That’s super specific lol.
I don’t get it, are they paying the treasurer or just “volunteer” but officer stuff? Seems like a lot of accounting for free. Also bingos payouts??? I’d be nervous about money part.
Wait the treasurer has to do taxes and monthly statements, right? That’s not like “help out for fun” lol. I thought the instrument lending place was like books for music, not full corporate stuff. Kinda weird they need an officer but it’s volunteer.
Scouts Beaver Section?? That’s the little kids age group right? Honestly good for them, but $18+ volunteering rules are kinda random. Also I saw “calling back bingos” and assumed it was like customer service for phone scams. Maybe I’m mixing it up with something else, but still, good luck to whoever signs up.
