Vishal meets CM Vijay, vows to sponsor three girls’ education

Tamil superstar C Joseph Vijay’s colleagues from the film industry recently met him to congratulate him on becoming the chief minister of Tamil Nadu. Among them was actor Vishal, who had previously questioned the appointment of actor-comedian Rajmohan as the state’s minister for Film Technology and Cinematograph. Reflecting on their bond, Vishal praised Vijay after meeting him and even announced that he would sponsor the education of three underprivileged girls in the latter’s name. Vishal took to social media to share a heartfelt message for
CM Vijay after meeting him, addressing him as dearest darling. The word ‘darling’ hasn’t changed which I used to call u for the last so many years since I knew u from Loyola college (sic). He fondly reminisced about their early years, when Vijay was just a budding star, praising how he climbed the ladder with resilience to become a massive superstar and eventually the leader of the state. Vishal also expressed his gratitude to CM Vijay for declining the traditional bouquet and shawl protocol.
He added he will instead use the funds to sponsor the education of three underprivileged girl students in Tamil Nadu on the chief minister’s behalf. My sincere thanks once again. All the best CM sir. Wishing you only positivity and growth and looking forward for the best of Tamil Nadu in your tenure (sic), the actor wrote. Vijay was sworn in as the chief minister of Tamil Nadu on May 10, 2026, after proving his legislative majority to the governor. His final film was supposed
to be Jana Nayagan, which was set to release in January, but it is currently awaiting certification from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC).
