Victoria Sharks in search for answers in Heathens playoff clash

The Victoria Sharks face Heathens in the first leg of the Playoff Quarterfinals, chasing redemption, a first-ever win, and a route to the semi-finals.

Victoria Sharks have three major questions to answer against Heathens when the two sides battle in the first leg of the Playoff Quarterfinals on Saturday at Kyambogo.. First, can the Sharks put that 30-5 regular-season loss to the Heathens behind them and focus on this game?. A visibly distraught coach Kevin Makmot was not pleased with his team’s performance against the record champions at Kyadondo, a thing he summarised as his charges simply not showing

up.. Secondly, in their short four-year history, the Sharks have never beaten the Heathens.. Could the time be now?. The university side now has the rare opportunity of playing the Yellow Machine twice within a week.. A single win would suffice for the Sharks, only if they register a higher winning margin across the two legs at Kyambogo and Kyadondo.. The third and hardest question is, can the Sharks advance to the semifinal on their

second time of asking?. Given the great investment Victoria University has put into the sport, this should be the season to reap some benefits.. Having made the quarterfinal last year, at the bare minimum, a semifinal should be the expectation this season.. With all these questions on the desk, the pressure is on Sharks going into Saturday.. The Heathens, on the other hand, know how to win and won’t make these two tests any easier

for the Sharks.
