When officers arrived, he was seen throwing an object at a vehicle. When they tried to arrest him, he ran off. He was found after a short chase in a bush nearby and taken into custody. It was soon learned that a suspect had allegedly assaulted a restaurant worker who suffered a dislocated shoulder during the scuffle. this week,” said Vancouver police Const. Megan Lui in a statement. “The assault appears to have been unprovoked, and the motive is unknown at this time.” Victor Coscarella, 37, originally from Ontario, has been charged with assault causing bodily harm and obstructing a peace officer. He is in custody awaiting a bail hearing.
