Two New Jersey lottery players split a $449,456 Jersey Cash 5 jackpot on Tuesday, Sept. 8, the New Jersey Lottery announced.
The winning tickets that matched all five balls were sold at the Quick Chek on Terrill Road in Plainfield (Union County) and online via the third-party app Jackpocket.com. The tickets are worth $224,728 each.
The retailers will both receive a $2,000 bonus for selling the winning tickets.
The Jersey Cash 5 winning numbers for Tuesday were 01, 15, 17, 29 and 30. The Bullseye was 30 and the XTRA was 03.
Also, the lottery agency said there were 30 other players who matched four numbers and the Bullseye to win $500 each and nine of those had the Xtra to win $1,500.
The jackpot will reset to $150,000 for Wednesday night’s drawing.
Jersey Cash 5 is a daily lottery draw game from the New Jersey Lottery. Players pick five numbers between 1 and 45 and can add the Xtra for a chance to increase non-jackpot prizes by up to five times. The Bullseye gives players another chance to win. Drawings are held seven days a week at 10:57 p.m.
