Taken together, the weekend’s incidents show how quickly different moments—traffic stops, arguments, and early-morning confrontations—can turn into shootings that leave victims scattered across city neighborhoods and hospitals.

  1. Friendly fire?? That part confused me like… how do they even tell in the moment. Also why were there police stops getting involved with all that shooting.

  2. If the suspect pulled a gun from a bag during a traffic stop then sounds like police should’ve just backed off. I mean traffic stops are already sketchy, so idk why they caught up and struggled like that.

  3. Independence Day weekend always turns into this. People act surprised every year like it’s new news, meanwhile there’s always another shooting thread. The Portage Park thing too, it sounds like she shot herself but then they still call it homicide? I’m just tired of reading the same story with different neighborhoods.
