Trump’s T1 phones start shipping to customers after delays

After months of pushbacks, Trump Mobile says its T1 phones will begin shipping this week, with pre-order customers receiving email updates. The company also says deliveries for all pre-orders will take several more weeks.

When Trump Mobile finally moved its “T1” phones into the shipping lane this week, the message was clear: the delays are over, at least for the first batch.

The company posted the update on X, saying customers who pre-ordered the phone should receive email updates this week.. In a follow-up message on May 13. Trump Mobile added that “Phones start shipping this week!!!” while acknowledging that “all pre-ordered phones” would not arrive immediately. with deliveries expected “for the next several weeks.”

The T1 launch was originally tied to a different timetable. The company said the phones were first scheduled for release in August, then pushed to October, before eventually slipping again until this week.

Trump Mobile CEO Pat O’Brien told USA Today that the repeated setbacks were worth it in the company’s view. “But those delays were worth it in our minds as we are delivering an amazing product,” he said.

The phone itself is positioned as a premium, America-forward device. The T1 has a gold exterior with an American flag on the back and a 6.7-inch screen. It includes a 50-megapixel camera and runs on Android 15, with fast-charging support.

At launch, the price is $499. Trump Mobile says the phones were assembled in the U.S., and moving forward will rely primarily on components manufactured in the U.S.

The business push comes after the Trump family entered the cell phone market in June. with Eric Trump and Donald Trump Jr.. backing the effort.. Eric Trump. speaking when Trump Mobile was announced. framed it as part of a broader political-economic pitch: “Trump Mobile is going to change the game.. We’re building on the movement to put America first. and we will deliver the highest levels of quality and service.. Our company is based right here in the United States because we know it’s what our customers want and deserve.”

Alongside the hardware, Trump Mobile also offers its own wireless plan. The company says customers with Apple or Samsung phones can switch over as well, as long as their devices are compatible.
