Trump is – Donald Trump’s physician said the president is in “excellent health” and “fully fit” to serve after a medical exam Tuesday at Walter Reed that included CT and heart imaging, cancer screenings, and assessments by 22 specialists.
WASHINGTON — When Donald Trump left Walter Reed National Military Medical Center after an exam Tuesday, he told the public everything checked out “PERFECTLY.”
His physician, Dr. Sean Barbabella, followed that message with a report released late Friday saying the 79-year-old president is in “excellent health” and “fully fit” to serve as commander in chief.
The medical exam included a CT scan and other heart imaging, along with cancer screenings and other preventative assessments carried out by 22 specialists.
Trump said after the visit that everything checked out “PERFECTLY.” The physician’s report described his “cognitive and physical performance” as “excellent,” and noted that doctors provided guidance on Trump’s diet, physical activity, and weight loss.
At 238 pounds (108 kilograms), Trump weighed 14 pounds (6 kg) more than at a medical exam in April 2025. Despite the increase, the report concluded that his overall health and ability to serve remain strong.
After the exam, Trump also said his doctors’ findings confirmed he was “fully fit” to serve, aligning with Barbabella’s assessment that his health is “excellent.”
