Trump Warns U.S. May Be Forced to Wipe Iran

When President Donald Trump posted on Truth Social after the United States carried out a counter-attack against Iran on Saturday, the message wasn’t cautious. It was direct—and escalating.
Trump said the strikes were carried out for violating a ceasefire deal yet “AGAIN!” and warned that the next step could come sooner than either diplomacy or restraint might hope. In his view. more violations could leave the United States “no longer able to be reasonable. ” forcing Washington to “militarily complete the job that we very successfully started.”.
He wrote that if that point was reached, “the Islamic Republic of Iran will no longer exist!”
The president’s warning landed shortly after U.S. Central Command said the U.S. military hit multiple Iranian targets in “direct response to continued Iranian aggression against commercial shipping.” Central Command tied the action to what it described as continued attacks. including a drone launched by Iranian forces.
Trump’s Truth Social post included the specific targets he pointed to: U.S. aircraft “just struck Iranian missile and drone storage locations. and coastal radar sites. for violating the Cease Fire Agreement. AGAIN!” He also said. “There may come a point when we are no longer able to be reasonable. and will be forced to militarily complete the job.”.
The timing matters because the president framed his warning as a deadline of sorts for negotiations. He said the repeated violations threatened to wreck ongoing negotiations to end the war.
In the same thread of escalation, Central Command said Iran “was given a chance to honor the ceasefire agreement but elected not to when its forces launched a one-way attack drone.”
Earlier Saturday, the drone attack that preceded the U.S. strike was described as tied to attacks on commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz. Fox News’s Jennifer Griffin said by phone that it was “about 4:30 a.m.” when a ship was hit near the Strait of Hormuz. and described it as “the second ship in two days.” She said the second day of strikes by the U.S. military came after what she called “a chance to stop shooting. ” and that instead Iranian forces attacked another ship in the Strait of Hormuz.
Griffin also described the consequences and risk with a level of specificity that matches Trump’s own do-or-die framing. She said the ship hit was carrying about 200,000 barrels of oil and “so, it could’ve been a disaster in Strait of Hormuz — very dangerous situation.”
She said the targets included air defense systems, drone storage sites, cruise missiles, targeting radars, and minelaying capabilities—along with surface-to-air missiles, “according to a U.S. official.”
Trump’s latest warning wasn’t the first time he used language suggesting an annihilation scenario. The reporting in the source material says he has made similar threats at other points in the war. including a warning that “A whole civilization will die tonight” if Iran did not open the Strait of Hormuz.
In that earlier episode, a two-week ceasefire deal was announced a few hours later, and Trump backed off his threat.
That history hangs over Saturday’s new message. Trump said the U.S. could soon be “forced” to finish off Iran. and that the Islamic Republic “will never learn.” He cast the threat as a response to repeated violations of the ceasefire deal. yet his words also put pressure on the very diplomatic process he says is already at risk.
The sequence in Saturday’s reporting is stark: a drone attack in the Strait of Hormuz, U.S. Central Command’s statement that the United States struck in response. and then Trump’s Truth Social post warning that further violations could end diplomacy as he defines it. He said America might reach a point where it can’t “be reasonable. ” and that decision would be followed by a stated goal of ending Iran’s regime.
For now, the situation is in motion: U.S. forces hit multiple Iranian targets, Central Command linked the strikes to aggression against commercial shipping, and Trump attached an increasingly blunt warning to the negotiations to end the war.

Wipe Iran? dude what.
So they hit missile storage and radar sites and now we’re supposed to be surprised he’s saying “complete the job.” I feel like diplomacy is always “on the table” until it isn’t. Also commercial shipping?? like that’s the whole excuse for all of it.
Wait I thought they already had a ceasefire like months ago. How can Iran “violated again” if we’re still doing counter-attacks? This sounds like they’re just looking for a reason to keep escalating. My cousin said on TikTok it’s all fake radar stuff but idk.
“Forced to finish the job” is not exactly calming words. I’m not saying Iran is innocent, but Trump always talks like World War 3 is a to-do list. If they “no longer able to be reasonable” then it’s basically already decided. Also the article says drones and coastal radar sites… so are we counting that as proof of violating shipping or is it just retaliation with a headline sticker on it?
