Trump orders acting DNI Pulte to declassify almost everything

Trump orders – President Donald Trump said he told acting National Intelligence Director Bill Pulte to “declassify almost everything” while he holds the post, as new reporting suggests a White House working group is preparing disclosures aimed at bolstering Trump’s claims ab

When President Donald Trump spoke to reporters Wednesday, he made one thing sound simple: the new acting director of National Intelligence should be ready to release a lot of information.

Trump said he told Bill Pulte. the acting director. that he wants him to “declassify almost everything” during the short time Pulte will be in the job. Trump described Pulte’s temporary tenure as brief. but said that within that window he should be able to “desclasificar lo que quisiera. ” adding that he believes Pulte will do it. “Bill [Pulte] estará allí solo por un período de tiempo bastante corto. Pero mientras esté allí, le dije que podía desclasificar lo que quisiera,” Trump said. He followed with: “Creo que Bill desclasificará. Le dije que podía desclasificar lo que quiera”.

The comments come after new reporting that points to an internal push inside the White House to release intelligence-related documents. An additional report indicated that a working group in the White House plans to declassify documents from U.S. intelligence agencies to give more credibility to Trump’s claims about past elections. Trump’s remarks also align with earlier reporting that highlighted his focus on the National Intelligence Director’s role in election security. both in the past and in the present.

Trump’s choice of Pulte as acting director came last month. and the president said the purpose of that temporary appointment was tied to what Trump wants disclosed. Trump had expected Pulte to work on declassifying materials that interest the president—specifically including materials related to the 2020 elections and Trump’s false claims of widespread election fraud.

Trump also laid out a clear timeline for what comes next. He said Pulte would serve only for a short period while his formal nominee, Jay Clayton—currently the federal prosecutor for the Southern District of New York—moves through the confirmation process.

This is a developing story and will be updated.

  1. I don’t even know who Bill Pulte is but “declassify almost everything” sounds like a disaster. Also why is he tied to election stuff again…

  2. Isn’t Pulte the guy who was doing that business app or whatever? Either way, if they “declassify” election documents it’s just gonna be biased toward whatever story Trump wants. Like Jay Clayton being involved—didn’t he just prosecute people, now he’s running intelligence disclosures?

  3. Declassify almost everything… okay but does that mean like, classified intel gets turned into TikTok and then anyone can look it up? And if it’s to “boost” claims about 2020, that’s suspect. I’m sure they’ll say it’s for election security but it feels like just trying to rewrite history before confirmations even happen.
