Trump mocks again after “private” Truth Social post

Trump mocked – Donald Trump faced fresh online mockery after a Truth Social post at about 7:40 a.m. appeared to contain a private-style message meant for House Speaker Mike Johnson, triggering jokes about “grandpa’s phone” and renewed comparisons to a prior Pam Bondi inciden

Donald Trump’s morning started with a post that landed like it wasn’t meant to be public.

Around 7:40 a.m., Trump shared on Truth Social a message addressed to “Mike,” writing: “Mike: Thank you for your nice words on Fox. We are on the same path. Keep up the great work. Good luck on the Show! President DJT.”

Within minutes. social media users treated it like an accidental slip—speculating the “Mike” in the text was Republican House Speaker Mike Johnson. Johnson had appeared on Fox & Friends Weekend the day earlier. discussing Trump’s potential peace deal with Iran and the recent White House shooting.

During that interview, Johnson said he was “very confident” Trump would soon announce a deal with Iran. “This will allow 60 days to get the details done and the No. 1 condition has been that Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon,” Johnson said. “We’ll take care of the nuclear dust. We’ll get the Strait of Hormuz reopened. which will be great for gas prices here and stability around the world. ” he added.

Trump’s post drew immediate attention, and journalist Aaron Rupar reposted it on X with a brief “lol.”

The mockery poured in. One user wrote, “Somebody take grandpa’s phone. He thinks he’s texting again.” Another commented, “You do realize you are on your Truth Social and not text or email, right?” A third joked: “How do I open a PDF File??? President DJT.”

Some posts connected the incident to health concerns, with one user posting on X, “like this is why he gets 3 checkups in 13 months.” Others went further back to another alleged private-message mishap—this time involving former Attorney General Pam Bondi.

That comparison came up quickly. “Remember when he posted a private message to Pam Bondi? Looks like Mike Johnson’s days are numbered as Speaker,” one user wrote.

The Bondi precedent dates to September 20. 2025. when Trump reportedly believed he was privately messaging Bondi before the message appeared publicly on his Truth Social account. exposing it to millions of followers. In the message. Trump wrote: “Pam: I have reviewed over 30 statements and posts saying that. essentially. ‘same old story as last time. all talk. no action. Nothing is being done. What about Comey, Adam ‘Shifty’ Schiff, Leticia???. They’re all guilty as hell, but nothing is going to be done. We can’t delay any longer, it’s killing our reputation and credibility,’”.

The Wall Street Journal later reported that Bondi became upset over the post and contacted White House aides and Trump, who later posted a public message praising her as doing a “GREAT job.” NBC News reported that Trump reacted with “Oh” after realizing the message had been posted publicly.

Five days later, federal prosecutors moved forward: Comey was indicted by a federal grand jury on charges of making a false statement and obstructing a congressional proceeding. He pleaded not guilty. After the indictment, Trump posted “JUSTICE IN AMERICA!” on Truth Social.

If this latest “Mike” message has a familiar feel, it’s because Trump’s late-night Truth Social habits have repeatedly blurred the line—at least in the eyes of the internet—between public messaging and something more personal.

In December 2025, Trump posted more than 160 times in one evening, sharing content ranging from conspiracy theories to praise for First Lady Melania Trump. In February 2026, he launched another overnight posting spree beginning shortly after 2:30 a.m., revisiting grievances dating back decades.

The White House has not publicly commented on the May 25 “Mike” post, which remained visible on Trump’s Truth Social account at the time of publication.

Behind the jokes is a simple problem for anyone watching closely: even when Trump’s platform is meant for statements, the public keeps treating the wording—down to the address line—as if it could be accidentally meant for one person, not millions.

  1. Wait so he posted it on purpose? Because it sounds like a normal message to Mike Johnson. People are acting like he committed a crime.

  2. I don’t get it, Truth Social is basically his text app right? Like he can call whoever he wants. Also the Iran thing is the real news, not this “PDF file” joke stuff.

  3. This is why everyone says he’s losing it… because if it was really private it wouldn’t be posted. But also maybe Mike isn’t Johnson? It literally says Mike so everyone just assumes. Still, “President DJT” sounds like he’s trying to make it a brand instead of a message.
