Trump Gives an Uninterrupted 8-Minute Answer to a Question from Fox’s Trey Gowdy

Fox News host Trey Gowdy asked him a question and President Donald Trump answered… and answered… and answered.
The president gave a long and winding reply which touched on a myriad of topics — from the Iran war to the trade war with Canada to the “really sick hoax” Democrats pushed about him colluding with Russia — when Gowdy asked Trump if there was something he wished he knew in his first term that he has since figured out in his second term.
Trump was off from there. He gave an uninterrupted 7 minute and 55 second answer which also weaved in one of his favorite moves: bashing ex-president Joe Biden.
“It’s very interesting — it feels like a more important term, meaning this particular term. And I think I’m helped by the fact that the people that preceded me — the group, because it wasn’t only Biden, Biden, you know, wasn’t the sharpest tack. But he had a lot of sharp tacks, but they were radical left lunatics that weaponized government.”
Gowdy looked like he was doing his best to hold back a smirk as Trump went on.
“You know, when you follow Babe Ruth or you follow somebody, Michael Jordan, you follow someone — it’s maybe harder. But I wasn’t following ‘The Babe.’ I was following Joe Biden.”

There was also plenty of Trump pumping himself up in the clip.
He celebrated the stock market booming during his second term — an accomplishment he said is even more impressive when you consider he had no choice but to attack Iran. Trump said Iran was going to obtain a nuclear weapon soon, use it on Israel, and “we would probably be next” if he didn’t act.
The president continued by saying the American people shouldn’t worry too much about gas prices because they are going to “go down like a rocket” once the war is “completely” won. In related news, the U.S. struck Iran for the first time in weeks on Sunday, and Trump vowed to “hit them hard” on Monday, after Iran retaliated with its own strikes.
As for Canada, Trump said it has been ripping the USA off to the tune of $60 billion a year for far too long. Trump made the comment to Gowdy on the same day he posted on social media he did not want the US to accept any Canadian imports from now on. He did not bring up the whole Lake America-Lake Ontario name swap which has caused a big hubbub over the last week, though.
“They think they’re a state but they’re not a state,” Trump said. “Why should we be subsidizing Canada?”
