Anyone attending the game, including the players, had to pass through security screenings when they entered the stadium. Fan-watch parties outside the venue, which had been well-attended throughout the Knicks’ play-off run prior, were cancelled. Other such events were shifted to locations further away, such as Bryant Park in Manhattan. This, however, did not impact celebrity row. The average price of a ticket for game three was $US7683 ($10,887), while the highest price was $US65,000 ($92,100).

The ticket prices are insane like $7683?? that’s basically rent. But sure, expand security… wonder who even gets through with all that.
So they put a perimeter around Madison Square Garden and that made the fan parties get cancelled, but “celebrity row” was fine? Sounds like rich people get different rules. Also I swear they said Trump was there for like a minute and everyone booed, so it’s all just staged anyway.
I’m confused because if it’s the NBA Finals shouldn’t they be at Staples or whatever? Madison Square Garden is always packed though. Either way, booing Trump doesn’t fix anything, and the fact they’re using the Secret Service like it’s a royal visit is wild. Also who are half those actors even doing there… like Ben Stiller just comes for basketball now?
