Trump Attacks California Mail Voting After Midnight Posts

Trump attacks – After midnight on Wednesday, President Donald Trump posted multiple times on Truth Social—fighting back against rising prices claims and turning his focus to California’s primary elections, where he again attacked mail-in voting as fraud, despite California’s

President Donald Trump didn’t just stay up late on Wednesday—he kept talking after midnight.

In several Truth Social posts posted after 12 a.m., Trump went after complaints about rising prices under his presidency, insisting—falsely—that prices are falling “across the board.” He also posted a slogan claiming “TRUMP” & “THE REPUBLICANS WIN THE AFFORDABILITY WARS” by record numbers.

The argument didn’t match the direction of prices through his time in office. Early on, price increases were driven by tariffs. More recently, Trump’s war with Iran has been linked in the source material to a spike in oil prices, which in turn has driven up the cost of fuel and other essentials.

Trump also posted an image described in the material as his bouffant on the Punisher logo.

But the sharpest focus came from a different target: this week’s primary elections in California. Trump has, for years, falsely claimed that mail-in ballots lead to voter fraud. He has also railed against mail voting even though—per the source material—he has frequently voted by mail himself.

In California, the math is stark. More than 80% of California voters have voted by mail in both primaries and general elections in recent years. Ballots are required to be postmarked on or before Election Day, but they can arrive up to a week after the election and still be counted.

That window—part of California’s vote-by-mail system—is exactly what Trump treated as proof of fraud. The material says he railed against it in two different Truth Social posts.

Then, just after 1 a.m. on Thursday, Trump added another post tied to the same dispute over how mail ballots are handled.

The attack lands in the middle of a larger push from Trump that goes beyond talking points. Earlier this year, he signed an executive order creating a national voter list and placing limits on mail-in ballots. A federal judge let the order stand for now because it hasn’t been implemented yet. But the ruling also leaves room for additional legal challenges.

Trump hasn’t stopped there. The material also says he has been pushing Congress to pass a law that would crack down on mail-in ballots and place other restrictions on voting. That push has hit a hard limit in the Senate: the bill does not have the 60 votes needed to avert a filibuster.
