Dumocrats or – Donald Trump asked his Truth Social followers to weigh in on two branding changes: whether to spell “Dumocrats” or “Dumbocrats,” and whether to add an “N” to rename ICE as NICE.
Donald Trump spent Saturday turning politics into a spelling question.
On Truth Social. the president posted a poll asking followers to choose between “Dumocrats” and “Dumbocrats. ” framing it as a simple edit of his attack on Democrats. “Which do you prefer, Dumocrat or Dumbocrat?. In one case. you simply exchange the ‘e’ for ‘u. ’ so simple and precise (Many people don’t know. or assume. that DUMB ends in ‘b’). ” Trump wrote in his initial poll. “In the other case. you spell out DUMB. but it seems to lose some of the identity to Democrats when done this way. Which is better?”.
About an hour later, Trump posted a second question aimed at another name—this time for Immigration and Customs Enforcement. “Who thinks that we should add an ‘N’ to change the name of ‘ICE’ to ‘NICE?’” he asked.
Trump didn’t just describe the change; he argued for the reaction he expects from critics. He wrote that ICE “has been abused by the Fake News Media at levels never seen before. ” calling its employees “Great Patriots” who “work hard. and do a fantastic job in a very hostile environment.” He blamed much of that hostility on “the Dumocrats and the Fake News. ” then explained what the new name would do.
“The concept I have had for quite some time — A strong feeling that the name of these Patriots. ‘ICE. ’ should be changed to. ‘NICE. ’ in that it will totally discombobulate Crooked. Dishonest. and Unpatriotic Reporters and Journalists. ” Trump wrote. He added that the change would force a different headline rhythm: “For them to say. ‘We went to a NICE Facility today. ’ as opposed to ‘ICE’ or. ‘NICE Agents have deported a Violent Drug Dealer. ’ they won’t be able to handle it. they will go totally crazy!. All it means is adding an ‘N’ (‘National’) to ‘ICE’ (‘Immigration and Customs Enforcement’) — A much more prestigious name. ” he concluded.
Trump also said he’d heard pushback from within the agency’s ranks. “Everyone loves it, but I have been told by the legendary Tom Homan that the Agents do not love it as much as the other population.”
Whatever side his followers pick on the spelling and the acronym, Trump closed with a familiar call: “Either way, get out and vote.”

I saw this and I’m like… why do they keep changing letters instead of helping people. Also NICE sounds like a theme park name.
Wait so adding an N makes it nicer but it’s still the same thing right? Like ICE is already named like that for a reason. Feels like word salad to distract from the deportations or whatever.
This is exactly what I mean, they’re literally trying to rename the whole system like it’s a brand refresh. “discombobulate reporters” is such a weird flex. And Dumocrats/Dumbocrats… I can’t tell if it’s satire or if he seriously thinks that helps. Either way vote?? Okay but vote for what, the spelling?
