Travis Kelce – As Taylor Swift’s wedding celebration gets underway at Madison Square Garden on Friday, NFL stars and glamorous WAGs continue to filter in—led by Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford and marked by a visible split between Kelce’s closest circle and a w
Game time in New York City started early Friday, as the NFL’s biggest names made their way toward Madison Square Garden for Taylor Swift’s wedding celebration with Travis Kelce.
The streets around the iconic arena were shut for the blockbuster party expected to bring together 1. 000 guests from Hollywood. music. fashion and the sports world. Kelce. a three-time Super Bowl winner. is set to toast his marriage to Swift in front of a star-studded crowd. with the arrivals beginning to trickle in ahead of the ceremony.
Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford was among the first sporting faces to head to MSG around 3:30pm. Stafford was seen leaving the Ritz Hotel—where a number of guests for the exclusive affair appeared to be getting ready—alongside his wife. Kelly. Stafford cut a sharp figure in a jade suit jacket with black lapels, a bowtie and black slacks. Kelly complemented him in a $1. 140 pale green gown from Rick Owens Lilies featuring ruched detailing and an eye-catching slit up to her hip along the right leg.
Two familiar NFL voices also traveled with the Staffords. Erin Andrews and Charissa Thompson—sideline reporters who previously played matchmaker for Kelce and Swift—were both close behind the pair. Andrews. a Fox star. was seen in a long chiffon dress made of shimmering black fabric with a sleek halter silhouette. while Thompson stunned in a nude-colored gown with intricate silver beading and rhinestones throughout the silhouette. Andrews attended alongside her husband, former NHL star and Stanley Cup champion Jarret Stoll, who wore a navy blue suit. Thompson arrived with her boyfriend, marketing executive and entrepreneur Steven Cundari.
Kelce’s inner circle appeared early too. Former NFL tight end Ross Travis—described as one of Kelce’s right-hand men—strolled onto the sidewalk in a bold burgundy suit, black beret and sunglasses.
Several Chiefs players were spotted making their way to the arena as well, including Kareem Hunt and Trent McDuffie. The wider NFL world was represented too, with Las Vegas Raiders tight end coach Luke Steckel and NFL quarterback Baker Mayfield both receiving invites.
The arrivals also stretched beyond football. USWNT legend Abby Wambach was captured arriving in a classic tailored black tailcoat suit featuring a formal white vest and tailored peak lapels. Wambach was joined by her wife, Glennon Doyle, who wore a powder blue Jenny Packham gown with beaded detailing. Swift previously invited Wambach and the USWNT on stage during her 1989 Tour following the group’s 2015 World Cup win.
San Francisco 49ers star George Kittle and his wife Claire were also seen arriving in New York earlier in the week. Kittle and Claire had been invited to the more intimate rehearsal dinner on Thursday evening. While Kittle had not yet been spotted Friday afternoon. his close friendship with Kelce was already evident off the field—both have co-founded Tight End University together alongside retired star Greg Olsen. with the sixth edition hosted in Nashville last week.
Kittle’s Niners teammate Kyle Juszczyk and his wife Kristin were seen strolling up to the venue ahead of Friday’s ceremony. Kristin designed Swift’s now-iconic Chiefs puffer jacket for the 2024 playoffs. but her outfit for the big day drew attention for all the wrong reasons. Her dress. described as a pale blue corset with a ballooning skirt made of excessive black fabric. created what the report called a disjointed look.
For all the football friendships, there are always family links too. Travis Kelce’s Philadelphia Eagles legend brother Jason is expected to be among the early guestlist names. along with his wife Kylie. The report noted it was unclear whether their four daughters—Wyatt. Elliotte. Bennett and Finnley—would be joining them. listing the ages as Wyatt. six; Elliotte. five; Bennett. three; and Finnley. one.
Two of the biggest anchors for the sports section of the guest list were also confirmed in the flow of arrivals: Patrick Mahomes and his wife Brittany were expected to headline among the sporting attendees. Kelce’s former Chiefs teammate JuJu Smith-Schuster. who won a Super Bowl with the team. was also spotted arriving at MSG. The tight end is reportedly set to pay back the favor next week by turning from groom to wedding attendee.
Smith-Schuster is marrying his fiancée Laura Kruk on July 11 in Orange County. California. and the report says that Kelce and his wife plan to be there for the celebrations. Kelce and Smith-Schuster are no longer teammates after the wide receiver recently left Kelce and the Chiefs to sign for the New York Giants. but they appear to have kept close ties.
Beau Allen also made the cut for Friday’s star-studded affair. Allen, the defensive end, played four seasons with Travis Kelce’s older brother Jason on the Philadelphia Eagles. The pair remained good friends even after Allen left Philadelphia for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. and Allen has appeared on Jason and Travis’s New Heights podcast. On arrival. Allen wore a beige double-breasted suit jacket with a black shawl lapel. contrasting black buttons. a crisp white shirt and a black bowtie. He also wore shiny blonde hair scraped back into a man bun.
The glamour and togetherness of the guest list didn’t hide a different story running underneath. While Kelce’s oldest confidants—the “Cleveland boys. ” the twins who built his brand. and fellow tight ends—were among those gliding into Thursday’s intimate rehearsal dinner. part of his wider NFL circle reportedly ended up punted to Friday’s larger event.
The report says some of the group left feeling snubbed. believing they were frozen out of the more star-studded get-together on Thursday. A sensitive invite split was described this way: “There is a general invite to everyone on the team. ” a source told the Daily Mail. “But it doesn’t extend to some of the front office people, so there’s some feelings there. And also. not everyone on the team has the same invite.” The same source added that those Kelce is closer to were believed to have more details. and that there is a smaller gathering some of them get to attend.
The contrast didn’t stop at the invite list. The report describes different levels of hotel treatment too. with some Chiefs teammates reportedly staying at the Marriott Marquis in Times Square while Kelce’s closest friends appeared to be getting VIP treatment at the swankier hotel they were spotted leaving.
For now, Madison Square Garden is full of jerseys and velvet and camera flashes—yet behind the scenes, the timeline of who got the smaller night and who didn’t is already part of the wedding story itself.
