Tom Kane, the voice behind Star Wars: The Clone Wars and The Powerpuff Girls, has died aged 64, with his representative saying he retired from voice acting after a stroke left him largely unable to speak.
Tom Kane, the voice actor best known for work on Star Wars: The Clone Wars and The Powerpuff Girls, has died at the age of 64.
Kane died on Monday, his representative, Zach McGinnis, told TMZ. No further details were provided about where or how he died.
In a statement. McGinnis said: “Though his voice may now be silent. the characters. stories. and love he gave to the world will live on forever.” He added that “beyond the incredible career” Kane was “a devoted husband and father” who. with his wife. “built a loving family of nine children — three biological and six welcomed through adoption and fostering.”
Kane retired from voice acting in September 2021 after a stroke in 2020 left him largely unable to speak.
