Tom Brady demands Raiders turnaround after 3-14 2025

Tom Brady set a punishing standard for the Las Vegas Raiders going into 2026, pointing to a 2025 season that ended 3-14 as the proof that “everybody” failed. With Klint Kubiak signed as head coach and Fernando Mendoza drafted as the next franchise quarterback,
Las Vegas is used to talking about change in flashes—new faces, new ideas, a fresh start promised by the next fall. This offseason, the Raiders are leaning hard into that reset, and Tom Brady made sure everyone heard the message with clarity.
On June 22. during a recent interview. the Raiders minority owner laid out what he expects from the organization after a 2025 season that went sideways fast. The Raiders finished 3-14, their worst regular-season record since 2014. The last time they had a winning season was 2021. Even the closest thing to a lifeline didn’t last: Las Vegas ended the regular season 10-7 and was quickly eliminated in the playoffs.
Brady’s tone wasn’t cautious. “I would expect a lot of improvement from where it’s been,” he said on June 22 via Stick to Football. “Last year, we just underperformed in every area. And it’s everybody’s fault. That’s the reality. There’s nobody who did a good job. There’s not one player in the organization. there’s not anybody involved that did the job to the level that it needs to be done at. And everybody needs to improve. And it starts with me. and it filters down to the rest of the players on the field. and they’ve got to go out there. and ultimately they’ve got to perform at a high level.”.
What makes the quote hit harder is the way Brady frames responsibility—not as a team’s abstract problem, but as a failure measured across the entire building. He didn’t draw lines between positions or departments. Instead, he described a standard that wasn’t met by any part of the organization.
The Raiders have already made moves meant to change the direction of the franchise. Las Vegas signed head coach Klint Kubiak this offseason. and the team also drafted Fernando Mendoza as its next franchise quarterback. Brady’s comments land right on top of that new foundation, and they come with a warning about time.
When he was pressed on how much improvement he wants to see, Brady raised the bar even higher. “A massive improvement,” Brady said. “And I would expect daily improvement, and I’d expect hourly improvement. I really would,” he continued. “Every day that goes by. when you’re on a good team. every day and every week goes by. you should be better. Like. a good team should be better at the end of the season than the beginning of the season. or you’re not a good team. If you have more time together and more practice and you’re getting worse, something’s wrong.”.
That’s the heart of Brady’s message for 2026: the turnaround can’t be vague or seasonal. It has to show up in the work—every day, every week, and ultimately in results that don’t resemble the 2025 slide.
For Raiders fans. the hope is that the combination of Kubiak’s coaching and Mendoza’s development creates a team that looks like it’s moving forward. Brady’s insistence is that mere rebuilding isn’t enough. After a season that ended with 3-14 and a quick playoff exit following a 10-7 regular season. “daily improvement” isn’t rhetoric—it’s the expectation for what comes next this fall.

So Brady wants everyone fired or what?
3-14 is brutal, but honestly who cares what Tom Brady says. I’m more worried the Raiders keep changing coaches like it’s a subscription box. Also “franchise quarterback” sounds good but it never works out that clean.
Wait Mendoza was drafted as the QB and Kubiak is coach? I feel like I already heard that like 2 years ago… Maybe Brady’s just mad because they didn’t play good “in every area” which is like, yeah? defense, offense, coaching, all of it. But I don’t really buy that it’s literally everybody’s fault, there’s always one or two guys doing stuff right.
Tom Brady talking about accountability is funny because he didn’t exactly fix the whole league when he was there. Like okay “it starts with me” cool, but he’s a minority owner not the guy running practices. Raiders fans are gonna get hyped and then it’ll be the same story next season, mark my words. also the mention of Stick to Football makes it sound like some promo clip not even real journalism.
