Audio obtained from a tense phone call captures TLC personality Karen Derrico, 46, scolding one of her children for calling her a “liar” and later saying she “would” kill a child if they “piss” her off, as her arrest and legal case play out in Nevada.
For the second time in days, Karen Derrico’s legal troubles are spilling into the private world of her family phone calls.
Audio obtained by MISRYOUM Entertainment shows the Doubling Down With the Derricos alum, 46, on a contentious call with some of the 14 children she shares with ex-husband Deon Derrico. The recording surfaced on Thursday, June 25.
The exchange turned heated after one of the children called Karen a “liar.” Derrico scolded the child sharply. saying. “Don’t you ever do that again. Don’t you ever while you live and call me a liar again. You don’t know what is going on.” She continued. insisting the child didn’t understand the situation: “You don’t know it. So do not ever call me a liar because you don’t know.”.
As the argument escalated, one of the children said they had put “the baby stuff in the family’s car,” but Derrico kept venting her frustration over the disagreement. Her voice rose as she told the child, “That pissed me off. Don’t ever do that s***.”
In the recording. Derrico pushed back hard. saying. “You don’t know what the hell I’m going through and what I’ve been through.” She also referenced the couple’s medical history. saying she was the one who “carried your little behind” and that she “told the doctors no when they asked me to abort your little ass.”.
“Don’t ever do that again. Because you make me regret it. Don’t play with me,” she added.
The situation took another turn when the child kept responding “OK,” and another child—who appeared to be one of Derrico’s children—said, “No wonder why you said you were going to kill me.”
Derrico replied, “No, I never said [that] I said I’d kill you if you piss me off … because you’re disrespecting me because your little behind is enabled.” She then pressed the child to stop speaking: “That’s why you’re doing that. Don’t say nothing.”

Her latest courtroom fight comes shortly after Derrico was arrested in Las Vegas. She was charged with harassment, violating a restraining order, preventing a witness from testifying through threat of violence, and aggravated stalking after allegedly sending Deon threatening emails.
Court records referenced in the reporting include a June 14 email in which Derrico allegedly wrote, “I want you dead.” The records also allege she added, “I could kill you, and it won’t even bother me to go to jail and I’ll kill any of my kids if they take your side.”
Derrico was arraigned on Tuesday, June 23, and pleaded not guilty.
Her attorney, Jess Marchese, told Oxygen, “The allegations are completely false,” adding, “And we will prove they were completely fabricated by Mr. Derrico.”
Derrico and Deon Derrico rose to fame on the TLC reality series Doubling Down With the Derricos, which aired for five seasons and followed the former couple’s life with their 14 children. The show ended in 2024, the same year the pair divorced.
