Titans extend Jeffery Simmons through 2030 after $105.8m

Titans extend – Jeffery Simmons is staying in Tennessee. The Titans have announced a three-year, $105.8 million extension for the defensive tackle, pushing his deal to 2030 and making him the NFL’s highest-paid interior defensive lineman by new-money average.

By the time Jeffery Simmons stepped into another workday with the Tennessee Titans, it was already clear what this moment meant: the cornerstone is staying put.

The Titans announced that defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons has agreed to a “multi-year extension.” The agreement, first shared via NFL Network, adds three years and $105.8 million to his existing contract.

“I want to thank God, my family, my teammates, Ms. Amy [Adams Strunk] and the entire Titans organization for believing in me,” Simmons said via the team’s website. He also called Tennessee “a second home. ” adding: “From day one. this organization believed in me… My job isn’t finished. I believe in this locker room and this staff. and I’m focused on helping this team get back to competing for championships.”.

That commitment lands with weight, because Simmons has been the kind of defensive presence Tennessee has built around. A first-round pick in 2019 from Mississippi State, he has become the franchise’s defensive centerpiece. He is a four-time Pro Bowler, earned second-team All-Pro honors in 2021 and 2022, and was a first-team All-Pro selection in 2025.

The deal also changes the market in the middle of the defensive front. The average annual value of the extension is $35.2 million, which makes Simmons the highest-paid interior defensive lineman based on new-money average. Chris Jones had held the previous top spot at $31.75 million.

Before the extension, Simmons was signed through 2027 and was set to earn $44.17 million over the next two years. With the three new years added, he now remains under contract through 2030. The extension also increases the overall agreement to five years and $149.97 million—an unmistakable signal that the Titans plan to keep their anchor in place for the long haul.

  1. 105.8 million is insane. Like how does anyone even compare that to normal life? Also Titans really said “second home” like we all don’t know it’s about money lol.

  2. Wait I thought Chris Jones had like the biggest contract already? But it says average annual value 35.2 makes Simmons the highest-paid interior guy. Isn’t “interior” like… quarterbacks? Idk I’m confused but congrats anyway.

  3. Good to see the Titans actually keep someone good. But 2030?? That’s like basically forever. I saw a headline about $105.8m and immediately assumed that means he’s getting 105.8 right away, which seems wrong. Either way, hopefully this helps them get back to “competing for championships,” because it’s been rough lately.
