Tigers game vs Dodgers enters rain delay. Here’s when it will start

Today’s game between the Detroit Tigers and Los Angeles Dodgers at Comerica Park was hit with a rain delay, pushing back the original 1:10 p.m. start time.

The Tigers have now announced the game is set to begin at 2:35 p.m.

The Tigers split the first two games of their three-game weekend series against the Dodgers, dropping Friday game 2-1 in Dodgers starter Tarik Skubal’s return to Comerica Park before walking off the Dodgers in a 2-1 win on Saturday. The Tigers are currently 4½ game behind the Cleveland Guardians in the American League wild-card standings (with six teams to hop), looking to raise their small playoff odds heading into the last month of the regular season.

Tigers lefty Framber Valdez (8-9, 4.35 ERA) is scheduled to start against Dodgers starter Tyler Glasnow (3-0, 3.02 ERA), with Dodgers manager Dave Roberts ruling out back-to-back National League MVP Shohei Ohtani from a potential return to the mound.
