Thunderstorms forecast as Liverpool returns near 30°C

Thunderstorms have been forecast for Liverpool as high temperatures are set to return. Conditions have cooled in recent days, with muggy weather replacing the sunshine of the recent heatwave. Liverpudlians woke to light rain this morning (July 5). High temperatures are expected to reach 21°C this afternoon, with similar highs on Monday and Tuesday, according to BBC Weather. Sunny conditions should return by Tuesday evening, with the weather on Wednesday and Thursday set to be fine and sunny, with highs of 25°C. Friday is predicted
the hottest day this week. Temperatures could reach 29°C in the city, but rain is also predicted for the late morning. Forecasters expect thundery showers to arrive around 3pm, continuing into the evening. Sunny spells are forecast for Saturday and Sunday (July 11-12), with highs of 27°C on the Saturday and 26°C on the Sunday. There is a chance of showers throughout the weekend. The UK saw extreme heat in June, with temperatures of 37°C reached in some places, and the mercury well above 30°C
on Merseyside. The Met Office says high pressure will prevail across northern England, bringing “dry and very warm weather” for the first half of this month, with “the odd localised thunderstorms at times”. Met Office forecasters said: “Temperatures will be widely very warm at first, although not as hot nor humid as seen in June.” Get all the big headlines, pictures, analysis, opinion and video on the stories that matter to you by signing up to our daily and breaking newsletter . Liverpool weather, thunderstorms forecast, 29°C Friday, Met Office, July 5 rain, 21°C Monday Tuesday, weekend sunny spells
So basically it’s gonna rain again right before the weekend.
I saw 30°C and thought “heatwave” but now it’s thunderstorms at 3pm?? Make up your mind lol. 29°C Friday with rain late morning… the weather apps can’t even agree.
Met Office says dry and very warm then “odd localized thunderstorms” so like… is it dry or is it gonna thunderstorm? Sounds like the UK is just doing weather roulette every day. Also 37°C last month, and people act surprised when it flips back.
Wait, Liverpool’s in the UK right? Why am I reading this like it’s in my feed from some random place. 3pm thundery showers? That’s the same time my neighbor always mows his lawn too so I guess he’s cursed. I’ll just stay inside Friday if it really hits 29°C with rain, because that sounds miserable.
