I’m adding this post to The Best Resources For Learning Different Perspectives About “Gifted & Talented” Programs:

At my former high school, we would go into classes & recruit students 4 our advanced classes, have students observe them & have existing students talk with them. That kind of personal contact, I think, made a huge difference to the mindset students had going into those advanced classes.
