This North Face bag is even bigger than lululemon’s ridiculous 80L tote — and way cheaper

If you haven’t seen lululemon’s ridiculous 80L tote bag yet, it’s inevitable that you will soon. It seems to be everywhere, but I doubt it’s because of its functionality rather than its unexplainable over-the-top size.
This massive tote bag seems to have gone viral, but that doesn’t mean it’s the only giant bag on the market. There are bigger and better ones (for less money), including The North Face’s Base Camp 95L Duffel, priced between $119 and $170, depending on color.
I agree, there are times when you need to pack a lot, but you also need to carry it comfortably and it needs to hold up to the heavy weight inside. The North Face’s Base Camp 95L Duffel is designed to do all of this and more — and it’s a lot cheaper than the $248 price tag of lululemon’s Big-Ass Bag.
Why The North Face’s Base Camp Duffel is the better pick
If you know anything about The North Face, you know it’s synonymous with durability. Its products stand up to the demands of everyday use, outdoor adventures and more. I’ve had one of its backpacks for more than 10 years myself.

The Base Camp Duffel is rugged. It’s nearly indestructible, tear-resistant and water-resistant, too. It can handle the demands of travel, hiking, camping, inclement weather and any other abuse you want to put it through.
It has a spacious 95 L storage capacity — so it’s going to hold a lot more inside comfortably than that other brand. It’s easier to carry thanks to ergonomic shoulder straps you can remove and adjust. It also has grab handles if you prefer to carry it that way.
Everything also stays secure in the Base Camp Duffel with the four compression straps that lock it down, and the interior mesh pockets provide convenient organization. Plus, the water-resistant zipper flap keeps the contents dry, while the ballistic-nylon boot adds even more durability.
The North Face also offers a 31 L, 50 L and 71 L version of the Base Camp Duffel for $98-$160, if you’re looking for something a little smaller. Want your bag even bigger? The North Face has a 132 L and 150 L size for $180 and $200, respectively.
However, if you’re still eyeing lululemon’s Big Ass Bag, I’d question the practicality and the possible stares.
