The View Hosts Slam Trump’s Iran Deal Claiming Worse

President Trump was still firing away at the G7 Summit in France when the morning conversation hit the familiar nerve: former President Obama’s Iran deal versus Trump’s own approach.
Trump bashed Obama during a press moment on Wednesday morning. bragging about his Iran plan even as the exact details have not been officially released. He said that under the Obama administration. Iranians “laughed at Obama” and quoted them saying. “He’s a stupid son of a bitch.” He tied the mockery to what he claimed Obama handed Iran: “$1.7 billion in cash.”.
On “The View” the hosts didn’t take the bait. Moderator Whoopi Goldberg pressed back quickly, reacting to how Trump’s reported deal reportedly changes the stakes.
“This reportedly gives Iran access to $300 billion, to fund, to rebuild,” Goldberg said. “So, where is the dumb son of a bitch? I don’t know what he’s talking about.”
Sunny Hostin—who said she’s held the same view for a long time—argued that Trump isn’t just criticizing Obama, he’s fixated on him.

“Obama lives rent-free inside of Donald Trump’s head. because Donald Trump knows that his legacy will never be the legacy of President Obama. ” Hostin said. “He knows he doesn’t have the smarts. he doesn’t have the class. he will never be President Obama. even though he so desperately wants to be that kind of statesman.”.
Hostin acknowledged that “a lot of people had problems” with Obama’s deal, even noting she and Alyssa Farah Griffin had debated it multiple times. Farah Griffin then went straight for Trump’s reported terms.
“I did not support the Obama Iran deal; based on the MOU that’s been leaked, this is far, far worse than Obama’s Iran deal,” Farah Griffin said. “This is talking about — it’s a complete and total surrender and capitulation to the Iranians.”

She laid out what she said the text is doing: “We’re eliminating all forces, we’re ending the naval blockade, there are no guarantees in the text that I read that actually leads to inspections. They’re saying there is, but there is nothing in writing.”
Farah Griffin urged the Trump administration to release the full memorandum to address what she described as claims that don’t match the document. She also zeroed in on the reported $300 billion figure.
“That relies on you trusting the Iranian regime, and thinking they’re going to spend it on their citizens now,” she said. “No, they’re going to use it to fund terrorism in the region, as they have done, and as we criticized Obama for doing.”
The exchange finally turned back to Goldberg, who argued Trump isn’t solving anything so much as making it worse.
“That’s why I think I get so annoyed with him when goes after Obama. Do better then!” Goldberg said. “You didn’t do better.”
