The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder is heading toward a final bow. Disney+ has announced the animated reboot will return for a fourth and final season on the streamer, landing just ahead of the original show’s 25th anniversary.

Season four opens on a family under pressure: Penny Proud is pulled into a series of unexpected adventures that test her courage and identity. The official season synopsis teases more action-packed. mind-bending and heartfelt twists than ever before. with the Proud family facing every new challenge head-on—stressing that they’re strongest when they face it together. even when life turns chaotic.

The reboot’s original voice cast is set to reprise their roles. Kyla Pratt returns as Penny Proud. with Tommy Davidson as Oscar Proud. Paula Jai Parker as Trudy Proud. JoMarie Payton as Suga Mama. Cedric The Entertainer as Uncle Bobby. Karen Malina White as Dijonay Jones. Soleil Moon Frye as Zoey Howzer. Alisa Reyes as LaCienega Boulevardez. Carlos Mencia as Felix Boulevardez. Alvaro Gutierrez as Papi. Raquel Lee Bolleau as Nubia Gross. and Marcus T. Paulk as Myron. Melissa De Sousa will take over the voice role of Sunset Boulevardez in the reboot.

Alongside the returning cast. a wave of high-profile names is joining as guest stars for the upcoming fourth and final season. Mariah Carey. Romany Malco. Chloe Bailey. Lorraine Toussaint. Christopher “Mad Dog” Russo. Kym Whitley. Dee Nasty. Adele Givens. Ali Wong. JB Smoove. and Lashana Lynch have all been tapped for roles in the new run. Anthony Anderson and Tiffany Haddish will also reprise their recurring guest star roles of Ray Ray and Ms Hill, respectively.

Disney is also keeping the spirit of the franchise alive beyond the season finale with an upcoming holiday special: A Proud Family Wizmas. The announcement describes it as a song-filled, stop-motion special produced by Disney Television Animation. Kurt Farquhar will write and compose six new original songs for the holiday program.
