Texas Man Charged After Killing Wife Over Pain

Texas murder – Jose Romero was arrested and charged with murder in the shooting of his wife, reportedly after she didn’t take his back pain seriously.

A Texas man’s arrest has brought fresh attention to a deadly domestic violence case, after authorities alleged he killed his wife because she “didn’t take his back pain seriously.”

Jose Romero, 43, has been charged with murder in connection with the death of his wife, Yanira Marin de Romero, 39, who was fatally shot on May 2. The incident took place in their Cloverleaf home, where investigators say the couple had been arguing.

According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, Romero allegedly shot Marin de Romero while she was in the bathroom. At the time of the shooting, three of the couple’s children were in the home, the report stated. Officials said the children, ages 3, 8 and 13, were unharmed during the incident.

After the shooting, deputies responded to the home and found Marin de Romero with multiple gunshot wounds. She was pronounced dead at the scene, authorities reported.

Romero reportedly called 911 and told dispatchers, “he just shot his wife,” according to the police press release. When deputies arrived, they detained him without incident and later homicide detectives questioned him about the killing.

In statements to homicide detectives. Romero told investigators he shot and killed Marin de Romero because she didn’t take his back pain seriously. the sheriff’s office said in its release.. The investigation remains ongoing, with authorities still working to develop the full circumstances surrounding the case.

Following the arrest, Romero was held in custody at the Harris County Jail. It was not immediately clear whether he has entered a plea or retained legal counsel, and the sheriff’s office did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

As the case unfolded. a family member. Jacky Romero. shared a personal post on Facebook reflecting on the tragedy and describing how Marin de Romero’s death has affected loved ones.. In the May 4 message. Jacky wrote that her heart and family are “shattered” and that they were “unable to accept this reality. ” calling the couple “almost perfect.”

Jacky also described the couple as having been together since their adolescence, saying they moved forward together and that they were “our family’s pride.” She wrote that the family is now “going through” a “very hard” situation and that the children “will no longer have their parents together.”

In the post, Jacky added that Marin de Romero “left this world perhaps without even knowing what happened in that moment.” Alongside the caption, she shared one photo of the couple posing together and a second snapshot showing the couple with their three children.
