Terrion Arnold’s court appearance in Hillsborough County, Florida didn’t end with another night in jail.

On Monday, a judge ruled that the Detroit Lions star would be released on bond while he awaits trial, setting the amount at $1 million.

Arnold appeared for a pretrial detention hearing in Hillsborough County where both sides weighed the serious allegations against the 23-year-old. The judge found there is “certainly probable cause,” but did not agree with the prosecution’s request that Arnold remain held until trial.

Arnold is facing eight felony charges — four counts of kidnapping and four counts of armed robbery — stemming from an alleged February 4 incident in Tampa.

Authorities say the former Alabama star coordinated and directed the robbery of three men at an Airbnb. Arnold has adamantly denied any involvement or wrongdoing.

During the lengthy hearing, Arnold’s attorney, Harvey Steinberg, challenged the prosecution’s position, arguing that while there is plenty of evidence, none of it comes back to Arnold.

After the bond decision, the State asked that Arnold be placed on GPS tracking during his release. The judge denied that request. saying Arnold would have a “paparazzi monitor” and that his every move would be documented by the media. The judge also said the tracking could impact his on-field career.

Arnold’s release comes with conditions: he cannot communicate with any co-defendants or witnesses, he must surrender his passport within 48 hours, and he must stay at home or at work.

Outside the courtroom, Arnold had a big smile as he hugged his legal team — a moment that was hard to miss after the decision to allow him out as he awaits trial.
