The incident occurred on Monday.
A teen apparently drowned after falling off his paddleboard in Jenkins Pond on Monday, the Falmouth Police Department said in a release.
Shortly before 6 p.m., emergency personnel responded to a reported drowning at the pond. Two individuals had been paddleboarding when one fell into the water, police said.
Falmouth Fire and Rescue deployed a boat to reach the victim in the water and immediately began life-saving measures, police said. The victim, an 18-year-old male from Connecticut, was transported to Falmouth Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The incident was under investigation by State Police detectives assigned to the Cape and Islands District Attorney’s Office.
