A vocational teacher at Blue Hills Regional Technical School in Canton is on leave as school officials investigate “reported allegations,” according to district officials.
In a letter to families Sunday, Superintendent-Director Jill M. Rossetti said the district “immediately placed the teacher on administrative leave” after learning of the concerns. Rossetti did not name the teacher and did not specify what the allegations involve.
“The safety and wellbeing of our students remains our highest priority,” Rossetti wrote.
Canton police also confirmed they are investigating the matter. A Canton police spokesperson said the department would not provide further details.
“We understand that situations such as this may raise questions and concerns within our community,” Rossetti told families. She said the district could not share additional information because of the ongoing nature of the personnel matter and the investigation.
